Anna_Herrhausen

Dr Anna Herrhausen was appointed Executive Director of the Alfred Herrhausen Gesellschaft in 2016. Having previously been an active member of the board of trustees, she was already familiar with the organisation’s work and aims. As Executive Director, she is responsible for strategy and programme development as well as developing and maintaining relations with other organisations and institutions. Anna Herrhausen previously worked as a consultant at McKinsey & Company and in the Corporate Responsibility division at Allianz Group. She joined Deutsche Bank as a Director in the Communications and Corporate Social Responsibility department in 2014. She studied Philosophy, Politics and Economics at Oxford University, has a master’s degree in International Affairs from Columbia University and a doctorate in International Relations from the Free University of Berlin. Anna Herrhausen is a member of the European Council on Foreign Relations (ECFR) and sits on the Hertie School’s board of trustees. In August 2020 she assumed an additional role as head of Deutsche Bank’s Art, Culture and Sports department.

Harald Eisenach has been Executive Director of Alfred Herrhausen Gesellschaft since 2021. As Head of Corporate Bank Region East, Spokesman of the Regional Management Region East and member of the Management Committee Germany of Deutsche Bank, he contributes the perspective of numerous companies to the work of Alfred Herrhausen Gesellschaft. Harald Eisenach holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Wales. He started his career at Deutsche Bank back in 1982 in the Corporate Clients/Foreign Business division. Since then, he has worked in various areas of the bank in Germany and abroad, including London and Tokyo. He is Deputy Chairman of the East German Banking Association and a member of the Board of Trustees of the Technology Foundation Berlin, the Forum for Future Energies and of Deutsche Gesellschaft e. V.

Claudia_Kristine_Huber_

Dr Claudia Kristine Huber has been in charge of the Europe programme since 2018. Prior to this, she was responsible for the Alfred Herrhausen Gesellschaft’s former project area International Relations. The mediatisation of European politics has long been a key interest, both as a master student at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and while studying for her doctorate at the Berlin Graduate School of Social Sciences (HU Berlin) and Hamburg University. Previously, Claudia Huber held positions at the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs and at Google Germany.

Elisabeth Mansfeld has been responsible for the Cities programme since 2017. Prior to this, she spent nine years as project manager in the Chief Operating Office of Deutsche Bank’s Asset Management division. And, as an expert on microfinancing, she has supervised projects in China and Mexico. In addition to her focus on economics, she has also had a keen interest in urbanisation and resulting global changes ever since her time studying at the University of Mannheim and the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan.

Matthias_Weber

Matthias Weber has been responsible for the Frei Denken programme, overall strategic communications, and impact measurement since 2017. Before joining the Alfred Herrhausen Gesellschaft, his professional background as a marketing and communications economist took him first to the insurance industry as head of communications and then to Berliner Bank. He also lectured on marketing and communication in the insurance industry at the Berlin School of Economics and Law.

With additional training as a Systemic Coach and in Theory U, Matthias Weber's passion is to enable systemic, sustainable transformation processes.

Anja Paulus joined the Alfred Herrhausen Gesellschaft in 2008. As senior project manager, she organizes national and international events and supports the communications department. After a career in the luxury hotel industry and with a tour operator in Germany and the USA, her career path took her to Deutsche Bank in Frankfurt in 1999.

Sophia Hofer

Sophia Hofer joined the Alfred Herrhausen Gesellschaft since 2021. As Project Manager Communication, she takes responsibility for all AHG social media channels, the website and the newsletter. She studied communication in Erfurt and holds a master’s degree in Political Communication by the Goldsmiths, University of London. After gaining first journalistic experience at ZEIT ONLINE and further, she lastly organized the JugendPolitikTage 2021 and enforced young perspectives within the German discourse of foreign policy as a project manager at Polis180.

Alexandra Hunger has been working as a project manager on the Cities programme since 2019. She obtained a Master of Arts in Philosophy and Economics at the University of Bayreuth with a master thesis on the Berlin Senate’s “Social City” programme. Alexandra Hunger is a member of the Young Forum of the Academy for Spatial Development in the Leibniz Association.

Antonia Marx has been supporting the Alfred Herrhausen Gesellschaft on the Free Thinking programme since 2019, first during her studies and since 2020 as a project manager. After completing her bachelor’s degree in Communication and Cultural Management at Zeppelin University, she completed a master’s degree in sociology with a focus on organisational sociology at the University of Heidelberg. She wrote her thesis on “leadership in non-profit organisations”.

Milad Tabesch is joining the Alfred Herrhausen Gesellschaft during his Professional Year. He is a master's candidate at the Hertie School in Berlin and holds a BA in European Studies and Law from Osnabrück and Auckland. He spent further study visits as a Fulbright and DAAD scholarship holder in San Antonio and Dushanbe. He gathered first professional experience at the European Commission and in the German Bundestag.

Samuel Walker has been with the Alfred Herrhausen Gesellschaft, working on the Europe programme, since 2018. Following his bachelor studies at Columbia University, he received master’s degrees in Philosophy as well as International Relations (EU Studies) from the Free University of Berlin, focusing on theories of international relations and state sovereignty.
